Circular Arenas Negras and the beautiful town of Garachico - a perfect day trip. So get up early, pack some lunch and hiking boots, drive to the starting point at La Montañeta and off you go on the three-hour hike up the Chinyero, the youngest volcano on the island.

For those who still have energy for a sightseeing tour after the hike, a side trip to the village of Garachico, which is famous for its colonial architecture, is a must.

Lunch already consumed? No matter! During a stopover at the bar Arepera kilómetro 101 you can eat delicious arepas - a tasty pastry that originally comes from Venezuela and has established itself on Tenerife.
