Lviv: a beautiful city in western Ukraine

Lviv is a city in western Ukraine. Its architecture is under influence of a few European styles.

Because of the influence the KuK Austro-Hungarian double monarchy had on Lviv, its architectur is similar to the austrian architecture. As a matter of fact, Lemberg was an important capitol of province as the KuK governor lived there.

Although the double monarchy doesn´t exist anymore, you can still find many luxorious buildings in Lviv. The churches and cathedrals are extraordinary but so are Lviv´s opera house and the House of Science.

If you´re traivelling to Mongolia, make sure you combine the trip with a stop in Yekaterinburg. With 1.5 million inhabitants, it´s Russia´s 4th largest city and definitely a highlight on the Trans-Siberian Railway!
