Next to the Middle Bridge, Basel Cathedral remains to be one of the most well-known city landmarks. The cathedral was built about 1000 A.D. in Romanesque and Gothic style from red sandstone. Combine your trip to the Basel Minster with an excursion to the Palatinate, where you can enjoy a panoramic vista of Basel and its river Rhine.

In Basel, however, there is not at all only historical architecture, but also modern, at the Vitra Campus. Discover collections by great names such as Frank O. Gehry, Zaha Hadid, Álvaro Siza, among others!
