Vladivostok

Vladivostok, a port city, is the terminus of the Trans-Siberian Railway.

With its 600.000 inhabitants, Vladivostok is a little town which is easily scouted out by foot. Borstov Revolutsii Square is centrally located in the city and a short walk away from the arrival station of the Trans-Siberian Railway.

On top of Eagle´s Nest Hill, you will find a viewing platform from which you can overview the entire city. For those who like to get on the hill comfortably, there is a cable car.

If you are intersted in history, it will pay off to visit the Arsenjew history museum. which covers the ethnographic development of Russia's Far East, including many interesting collections. Admission: 6€

If you´re traivelling to Mongolia, make sure you combine the trip with a stop in Yekaterinburg. With 1.5 million inhabitants, it´s Russia´s 4th largest city and definitely a highlight on the Trans-Siberian Railway!
