An excellent starting point for a (guided) tour of the town is the main market square in the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Buy a little snack to be fit for an extensive walk through the city!

Check out the residence of ancient kings and queens of Poland: The castle on the Wawel hill, which is situated on the east of the Vistula River. The castle's spire towers reach over all the city's houses, which makes it easy to see from everywhere. Have a tour of exhibitions in the building and admire the view from the bastions overlooking the whole city!

On particularly nice days, Planty Park is a must-see. Enjoy idyllic atmosphere while overlooking the city!

If you´re traivelling to Mongolia, make sure you combine the trip with a stop in Yekaterinburg. With 1.5 million inhabitants, it´s Russia´s 4th largest city and definitely a highlight on the Trans-Siberian Railway!
